Apple M3 chip delayed, no new MacBook and iPad expected this year
According to Revegnus, a Twitter geek blogger, Apple's M3 chip will be delayed until next year, meaning that there will be no MacBook or iPad with the new M3 chip this year.
The reason for this is that TSMC's 3nm process is experiencing yield problems, resulting in insufficient capacity to meet Apple's demand.
In February this year, Apple bought TSMC 3nm capacity for the production of A17 and M3 chips.
As the new iPhone needs to be listed in the fall every year, there is speculation that in the case of insufficient capacity, Apple and TSMC will definitely give priority to ensure the order of A17.
