Google starts to phase out passwords
Today, Google announced the full launch of "Passkeys," a feature that allows users to quickly and securely sign in to various Google accounts without a password.
Passkeys" allows users to use information such as fingerprints, facial scans or screen lock PINs to sign in to applications and websites as if they were unlocking their devices.
The biggest advantage of Passkeys over ordinary passwords is that they are resistant to various attacks such as hacking and phishing.
Now, log in to g.co/passkeys to set up to try this new feature.
For a better transition for users, Google will now support both normal passwords and Passkeys for login together.
Ps. A cold fact: The first Thursday of May every year is World Password Day, and this year is today.
Google said it hopes that by the next password day, people will no longer need to remember a bunch of numbers and letters.
