1. Cryptocurrency Announces Resumption of Bitcoin Withdrawals for Second Time in 24 Hours, Bitcoin Drops 2% Intraday
On Monday, cryptocurrency exchange Coin On announced another resumption of bitcoin withdrawals, after the exchange suspended bitcoin withdrawals twice in a 24-hour period.
Earlier today, Cryptocurrency said it needed to suspend bitcoin withdrawals due to a large number of outstanding transactions.
Earlier in the evening of the 7th, Coin On announced that it was temporarily shutting down Bitcoin withdrawals due to network congestion, and later announced that it was resuming service.
Bitcoin fell 2% during the day, with the coin price at $28,200.
2. Blockchain Tech Company Everledger Enters Receivership, Was Invested by Tencent
Blockchain tech company Everledger has entered voluntary administration bankruptcy proceedings after expected investor financing failed to materialize, Smart Company reported. The company's employees received layoff notices on March 31, and Vincents Chartered Accounts was appointed to management on April 24.
Everledger was reportedly founded by former Queensland chief entrepreneur Leanne Kemp in 2015. It initially used blockchain technology to track the provenance of diamonds and other precious materials. Cards of Ethernity is reportedly a multi-chain game launching on the Sui and Polygon blockchains, and Gates of Ethernity is a strategic auto-battle game set to launch in late 2023. mysten Labs previously announced that Aether Game's Cards of Ethernity chain game will be available on the Sui blockchain from May 22 to May 28.
