Samsung's new advertising slogan alludes to the XR headset, or will compete with Apple
May 11 - A new tagline that Samsung has applied for registration in the United States has been spotted: "Open always wins" (Open always wins), which is speculated to be related to Samsung's upcoming XR headset.
Samsung already has a presence in the XR space, having launched products like the Gear VR and Odyssey. Samsung is reportedly developing a new XR headset, codenamed "Glasses Lite", which can support multiple mode switching, such as 3D video viewing, AR browsing, PC mode, etc.
The tagline "Open always wins" could be a provocation from Samsung to Apple. Apple is also secretly developing its own XR headset, but Apple has always used a closed ecosystem that is not compatible with other manufacturers. Samsung may want to create an open XR platform to attract more developers and users. Whether Samsung will be able to compete with Apple in the XR market with this tagline and new products remains to be seen.
