Daft Punk Launches 'Around the World' AR Experience to Revisit Classic Tracks

Daft Punk is a French electronic music group formed in 1993, which has released several critically acclaimed albums and singles, such as "Homework", "Discovery", "Random Access Memories", etc. In February 2021, Daft Punk announced its disbandment, ending 28 years of music career.

According to the May 9 news, Daft Punk launched an AR experience called Around The World to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their second album, Discovery. Around The World was a hit single released by Daft Punk in 1997 and was the first track on Discovery. Known for its simple, looping melody and lyrics, the song is considered one of Daft Punk's most iconic compositions.

The Around the World AR experience was developed by Daft Punk in collaboration with Snapchat and Snap Lens Studio to allow users to revisit Daft Punk's classic tracks while experiencing the freshness and fun of AR technology. The AR experience is also Daft Punk's first project since their breakup and can be seen as a tribute and farewell to their fans.
